Salary: $65,000 base + performance bonuses
Location: Houston Heights, Houston, TX
Schedule: Full-time, 40+ hours/week, includes weekends

About the Role

Hand & Stone Massage & Facial Spa of Houston Heights is hiring a Spa Manager to lead day-to-day operations, drive membership growth, coach a high-performing front desk team, and ensure an excellent guest experience. You’ll report directly to the owners and play a key role in hitting sales and retention targets while building a positive, accountable culture.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Oversee and manage daily spa operations and guest experience

  • Achieve membership and retail sales goals; lead by example on the front desk

  • Work alongside spa associates regularly to greet, connect with, and check clients in/out

  • Train, monitor, and coach front desk/sales associate performance

  • Create and maintain staff and therapist schedules

  • Manage HR functions for spa associates, massage therapists, and estheticians (interviewing, hiring, training, discipline, termination) in coordination with owners

  • Handle reporting and admin tasks: sales reports, payroll support, bank deposits, inventory, and ordering supplies

  • Deliver excellent service: answer phones, book appointments, greet guests, and sell memberships

  • Execute local marketing and community outreach: local businesses, HR departments, hotels, referral programs, newsletters, etc.

  • Maintain equipment standards and ensure daily/weekly cleaning compliance

  • Maintain high customer satisfaction to reduce attrition and grow membership steadily

  • Ensure compliance with corporate training, documentation, and operating standards

Performance Expectations

  • Maintain at least 30% membership conversion (self + team)

  • Support a strong active member base (goal: 90% active / fewer freezes & suspends)

  • Deliver consistent team performance on sales, service, cleanliness, and brand standards

Compensation & Bonuses

  • Base Salary: $65,000/year (paid bi-weekly; subject to standard withholdings)

  • Bonus Opportunities:

    • Membership Net Gain bonus: $500/month (paid out partially monthly/quarterly/year-end based on performance and retention rules)

    • GMS milestone bonus: If spa reaches $1M GMS in 2026, eligible for a $5,000 year-end bonus

    • Bonus targets/structure may adjust annually based on spa and corporate goals

Schedule Requirements

  • Minimum 5-day work week, 40 hours minimum on-site

  • Typically 4 weekdays (10a–6p or similar) plus Saturday 10a–6p preferred (and/or Sunday 10a–6p if needed)

  • Must be able to cover front desk shifts if call-outs happen last minute

  • Hours may be adjusted by the owner or Regional Manager as needed for business performance

Compensation: $65,000.00 per year
