We are looking for a full-time assistant spa manager who will is results driven and able to continuously improve and enhance spa operations while increasing sales, efficiencies, and profit margins. This person will help maintain a clean, competitive and fun work environment where all policies and procedures are being properly executed. They will ensure superior customer service and ensure that our front desk sales team meets or exceeds sales goals. They will coach team members to exceed customer expectations and ensure all team members are friendly, knowledgeable and professional in all experiences with clients. They will be responsible for assisting with the training and development of qualified and dedicated staff. 
 
REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work nights and weekends, including Sundays, and change schedules to meet the needs of the business.
  • Experience meeting sales quotes.
  • Experience with coaching and sales training.
  • Experience with sales coaching and training.
  • Ability to work in a high stress, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of clients and employees.
  • Experience working in a spa highly preferred.

CORE JOB DUTIES
  • Perform all Spa Experience Ambassador (SEA) duties well; demonstrate and model excellent customer service and sales skills.
  • Hire, train and coach SEAs.
  • Ensure effective and efficient front desk operations (SEAs are staying busy, checking clients in/out expeditiously and correctly, SEAs know all aspects of job, SEAs are following established protocols, etc.)
  • Individually meet or exceed sales goals and assist with coaching and helping SEAs meet sales goals.
  • Assist with creating and modifying employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Assist with employee performance discussions and reviews.
  • Ensure employees have necessary tools and supplies they need to complete their jobs.
  • Educate, inspire and motivate team members to do their very best each day.
  • Ensure all customer-facing areas of spa are clean, neat, and attractive to clients. 
  • Ensure materials and displays throughout the spa are changed frequently and presented in an attractive, intelligent manner that enhances sales and client knowledge.
  • Ensure daily operations are executed in accordance with Hand & Stone standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure all client services are being delivered in a professional, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Handle customer complaints.
  • Ensure all areas of the spa are clean, tidy, well-maintained, and safe at all times. 
  • Assist management with other duties as requested.
 
SALES DUTIES
  • Demonstrate superior sales skills and techniques; assist, train, and mentor spa experience ambassadors with gift card and membership sales. 
  • Develop innovative and creative strategies for improving sales and creating a competitive, yet cohesive sales teams using tools, systems, and incentives such as 
    • Monthly and quarterly contests
    • Leader boards
    • Motivational meetings and huddles
 
HUMAN RESOURCES & TRAINING DUTIES
·         Orient and train new employees in accordance with Hand & Stone operating policies and procedures. 
·         Create and adjust weekly schedules to meet demand for services; ensure proper staffing levels.
·         Train associates on important topics such as, but not limited to:
o    All aspects of Zenoti
o    Membership sales
o    Gift Card sales 
o    Customer Service 
o    Therapy protocols
o    Documentation logs and processes
o    Code of Ethics
o    Services provided
o    Retail offerings
·         Ensure effective, ongoing communication practices and systems have been implemented and are working well.
·         Complete and send daily shift reports to management.
 

 

Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates will possess the following skills, abilities and experience: 
  • A passion for coaching people and sales 
  • Be a very positive person with a high level of enthusiasm and energy.
  • Two to three years supervisory or management experience in a retail, spa, or membership sales environment.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or management preferred.
  • Experience meeting sales quotas.
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work and change schedule as needed to meet the changing demands of the spa; must work a morning shift, evening shift, weekend shift and some holidays. 
  • Ability to multi-task, work with a high sense of urgency, stay organized, remember numerous details, and learn quickly.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have high level of stamina and ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Professional, friendly demeanor that can confidently sell, create trust, establish strong relationships and mentor colleagues.
  • Ability to problem-solve, prioritize and think creatively on the spot.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills, ability to problem solve and come up with win-win solutions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all spa services and products. 
  • Basic knowledge of HR practices and law; experience with hiring, coaching, and terminating employees. 
  • Experience working with Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) helpful.
  • Experience with Zenoti POS system strongly preferred.

Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
